New Lange Lange 1 Watch Upgrade

LANGE 1 has been Lange’s masterpiece since its introduction in 1994, and it can be said to be the ‘classic sign’ of brand image. This new version is equipped with a technically improved manual winding movement. From the beginning, the brand has clearly decided to retain the unique design of LANGE 1. The new LANGE 1 in 18K rose gold.

It all started in October 1994. At that time, Lange named the first watch launched after returning to the altar with LANGE 1. Watch connoisseurs are all excited about it. This masterpiece of innovative design, outstanding functionality and perfect craftsmanship fully demonstrates the courage of the Saxons to change and respect for tradition. Not only did LANGE 1 trigger a boom, it also became one of the world’s classics.

The 50th movement, newly developed by the watch factory, sets a new chapter in the glorious history of this series, which currently has 15 different models. The unique dial layout remains basically unchanged. The only visible change is the slightly narrower bezel size, which makes the surface space more open, while the watch diameter is still 38.5 mm.

Under the famous eccentric dial, large calendar display, and power reserve display occupying the main position, the latest manual winding movement L121.1 is hidden. This systematic innovation technology fully reflects the brand’s development over the past 25 years. And experience.

Several changes were made to the new movement. First of all, the switching time of the precise instant jump calendar display is set at midnight. The power required for this process will slowly build up within hours. In addition, LANGE 1’s escapement is now equipped with an eccentric weight balance and a self-made cardless hairspring. The device is located below the hand-carved balance wheel plywood and vibrates 21,600 times per hour. This watch also retains a reliable dual barrel, with a power reserve of 72 hours.

The sapphire crystal case back shows all the unique quality marks of the brand. These include a 3/4 splint decorated with Glashütte diamonds and made of untreated German silver, a traditional component that protects the precious movement of a pocket watch 150 years ago. This also provided the perfect stage for the eight gold sleeves fixed with hot-treated hot blue steel screws. The classic case and dial combination of LANGE 1 is available in 18K yellow gold with champagne, 18K rose gold with silver white and platinum 950 with silver grey.
